She is very passionate about STEAM education and the development of social emotional and self help skills in children from a very young age. It was her long standing dream to open her own STEAM inspired preschool where children through the use of science, technology, engineering, art or mathematics, and other interrelated knowledge learn to solve real problems, work as a team, communicate well with others, and adapt to situations, all necessary skills for future success in school and their careers.
Mahreen enjoys close relations with the Early Learning Coalition of Duval and Duval Early Learning Director’s Network (DELDN) for which she serves as the leadership committee co-chair. She is often sought by directors for advice on NAEYC and Guiding Stars of Duval accreditation.
